   ศูนย์กีฬามหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง นำคณะนักกีฬาเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันกีฬาบุคลากรมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 42 หรือ "มศว เกมส์ 2026” ภายใต้แนวคิด “Health & Happiness" ณ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ องครักษ์ จ.นครนายก มีพิธีเปิดการแข่งขันในวันพุธที่ 27 พฤษภาคม 2569 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ศุภชัย ปทุมนากุล ปลัดกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงาน, รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชูสิทธิ์ ประดับเพ็ชร์ ประธานคณะกรรมการบริหารกีฬามหาวิทยาลัยแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวรายงานวัตุประสงค์การจัดการแข่งขัน และ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชลวิทย์ เจียรจิตต์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน

   ในการนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง นำโดย อาจารย์วิทยาศักดิ์ รุจิวรกุล รองอธิการบดี มฟล. เป็นหัวหน้านักกีฬา พร้อมด้วย นายสมยศ จันทาพูน หัวหน้าศูนย์กีฬามหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง รองหัวหน้านักกีฬา และทีมนักกีฬา มฟล.ชุดแรก โบกธงมหาวิทยาลัยร่วมเดินพาเหรดในพิธีเปิดสุดยิ่งใหญ่ โดยการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ มฟล. ส่งนักกีฬาเข้าร่วมทั้งสิ้น 70 คน พร้อมทีมเจ้าหน้าที่สนับสนุนอีก 8 คน และเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันใน 8 ชนิดกีฬา คือ ฟุตซอล เปตอง แบดมินตัน วอลเลย์บอล กรีฑา ว่ายน้ำ อีสปอร์ต และ กอล์ฟ

   "มศว เกมส์" จัดการแข่งกีฬาระหว่างวันที่ 27 พฤษภาคม – 4 มิถุนายน 2569 มีหน่วยงานส่งนักกีฬาเข้าร่วมแข่งขันทั้งสิ้น 65 สถาบันจากทั่วประเทศ และมีบุคลากรเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน จำนวนกว่า 8,000 คน โดยทำการแข่งขันในประเภทกีฬาสากล จำนวน 18 ชนิดกีฬา เช่น ฟุตบอล ฟุตซอล วอลเลย์บอล ว่ายน้ำ เทนนิส  เทเบิลเทนนิส แบดมินตัน กอล์ฟ กรีฑา เปตอง เซปักตะกร้อ ลีลาศ อีสปอร์ต บาสเกตบอล และ วู้ดบอล เป็นต้น, ประเภทกีฬาไทย 2 ชนิด คือ ตะกร้อลอดห่วง และหมากกระดาน (หมากรุกไทย), ประเภทกีฬาเพื่อสุขภาพ 1 ชนิด คือ แอโรบิก และกีฬาสาธิต คือ คอร์ฟบอล โดยทำการชิงชัยกันทั้งสิ้น 472 เหรียญทอง

MFU Athletes Attend Opening Ceremony of "SWU Games"

The Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) Sports Complex Centre led a delegation of university athletes to participate in the 42nd Thailand University Staff Games, or the "SWU Games," held under the concept of "Health & Happiness" at Srinakharinwirot University, Ongkharak Campus, Nakhon Nayok Province. The opening ceremony took place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who delivered the opening remarks. Furthermore, Associate Professor Dr. Chusit Pradabpetch, Chairman of the University Sports Board of Thailand, reported on the objectives of the games, and Associate Professor Dr. Chonwit Jearajit, President of Srinakharinwirot University, gave a warm welcome address to all participants.

On this auspicious occasion, the MFU team was led by Mr. Wittayasak Rujiworakul, Vice President, serving as the Head of the MFU Delegation, alongside Mr. Somyot Janthapoon, Head of the MFU Sports Complex Centre, as the Deputy Head of the Delegation. The first group of MFU athletes proudly waved the university flag during the grand opening parade. For this competition, MFU deployed a total of 70 athletes and 8 supporting staff members to compete in 8 sports categories: futsal, petanque, badminton, volleyball, athletics, swimming, e-sports, and golf.

The "SWU Games" took place from May 27 to June 4, 2026, drawing participation from 65 institutions nationwide and bringing together over 8,000 university staff members. The competition features 18 international sports categories, including football, futsal, volleyball, swimming, tennis, table tennis, badminton, golf, athletics, petanque, sepaktakraw, ballroom dancing, e-sports, basketball, and woodball. Additionally, the event includes 2 traditional Thai sports (hoop Takraw and Thai chess), 1 health-promoting sport (aerobics), and 1 demonstration sport (korfball), with a total of 472 gold medals contested.
